Smooth Sailing: Boating at Weekapaug Inn

Boating is a summertime staple at Weekapaug Inn. During the warm weather months, you’re bound to spot a bevy of boats gliding across beautiful Quonochontaug Pond.

Enjoy the picturesque scene from one of our many Adirondack chairs on the back lawn, or experience the fun for yourself during one of Weekapaug Inn’s family-friendly boating excursions.

Guided by Resident Naturalist and Captain Mark Bullinger, Quonnie Queen boat tours return to the Pond on Sunday, May 15th. The Quonnie Queen is a 24-foot electric Elco boat with impressive varnished wood features and wicker chairs. During your leisurely tour, you’ll view beautiful waterfront homes and bask in the summer sun as Captain Mark points out gorgeous vistas and notable wildlife. The Inn offers standard half-hour tours throughout the day to guests, or you can grab five of your closest friends and book a memorable wine and cheese cruise.

The cure for anything is salt water.

If adventure is more your style, satisfy your need for speed with Captain Mark’s Motorboat Safari. There are scheduled trips, for which you can buy a ticket, or private charters. Either way, during your one-hour tour, you’ll explore uninhabited islands and remote beaches while cruising the scenic waterways in our shallow-draft boat. Add a cooler of local beers to your expedition to complete this quintessentially summer experience. Boating
