ICYMI: Seaside Soirée with Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini

In case you missed it, in June, we hosted a fabulous affair that featured fresh local ingredients, international culinary flair and the most perfect summer evening weather we could have ever wished for.

Following Chef Jacob’s trip to Eden Roc at Cap Cana for The Grand Dinner, Chef Gianluca traveled to little Rhody to host a culinary event of his own at Ocean House. During his stay, Chef joined the Ocean House Food Forager for a trip to White Gate Farm in East Lyme, Connecticut, where he learned a bit about the local-grown treasures and scouted out fresh ingredients for the menu. Afterwards, we challenged Chef Gianluca to live a day in the life of an OH Chef, and asked him to lead a handmade pasta class (his specialty, of course) in the CWCA. Chef rose to the occasion, perfectly executing a gorgeous saffron pasta paired with fresh, local seafood.

A picture-perfect summer dining experience

The dinner went off without a hitch. After a last minute break in the weather, our team members banded together to create a stunning outdoor setting on Seaside Terrace. Guests enjoyed five incredible courses, perfectly paired wines and unrivaled ocean views, making for a picture perfect summer dining experience.
