Easter is just around the corner, and Ocean House and Weekapaug Inn are offering a selection of festive events and dining experiences to help you celebrate the most colorful holiday of the year!
At Ocean House, the festivities begin on April 14th with Children’s Easter Tea, featuring special guests from Beauty and the Beast. Enjoy Ocean House’s signature high tea, complete with mini sandwiches, petit fours, a storybook reading and plenty of whimsical charm. Children’s Easter Tea will also be offered on April 15th.
On April 16th, hop over to Ocean House’s South Lawn for the annual Easter Egg Roll and Hunt. One of our most beloved holiday traditions, the event includes prizes for children, great photo opportunities and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself.
Finally, no holiday at Ocean House is complete without a culinary feast fit for the occasion. The Easter Brunch Buffet in the Ballroom features eight stations of Easter favorites inspired by the fresh flavors of spring. Dine on perfectly prepared brunch classics as well as the chefs’ creative interpretations of the sweet and savory varieties. A more formal affair, Easter in Seasons offers a four-course, prix-fixe menu that’s sure to create wonderful holiday memories. Dishes include savory Don Hopkin’s lamb and beef tenderloin, along with sweet selections such as strawberry rhubarb tartelette.
At Weekapaug Inn, Alice from Alice in Wonderland makes a special appearance at Children’s Easter Tea on April 13th. Complete with mini sandwiches, petit fours and a storybook reading, the Inn’s high tea is sure to delight your little ones.
Then, on April 16th, enjoy Easter in The Restaurant, where the melodies of songbirds and panoramic views of Quonochontaug Pond are upstaged only by the food. Executive Chef Devin Bozkaya pulls inspiration from the Inn’s natural habitat, creating a three-course holiday menu served in the Inn’s customary family style. Dishes include maple glazed local ham, almond crusted Atlantic cod, coconut macarons and carrot cupcakes. Bon Appétit!
